Now as promised a post about my favorite books. They are books about the Middle East, history and politics, also Catholicism, books about the saints and popes and other influential people in the history of the Church. They include books by the Iranian writer Azar Nafisi who wrote "Reading Lolita in Tehran" and "Things I've Been Silent About". One is a book about Pope John Paul II. Some others are Barack Obama's books and Greg Mortenson's books about founding schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan. I just ordered his latest book, "Stones to Schools". I'm almost finished with "Three Cups of Tea". In fact, I think I'll stop posting now and get some reading done!
